ABOUT XHANTHI

Xhanthi is a mixed media artist from Australia, currently residing in the United States. She has several years of gallery experience, both stateside and internationally.

 

As an Australian/Indonesian biracial artist her work reflects her own experiences of duality and otherness, presenting an uncommon encounter that often sparks both delight and unease. Her sculptures are an invitation to rekindle your childhood wonder, as she explores the cultural mash-up of her upbringing. Through her work she hopes to share a sliver of wonder with you, an unexpected delight like a spark of light on a dark path. 

 

Her mixed media approach involves pieces designed in both clay, and 3D software, the final work becoming a blend of hand sculpted clay elements, 3D printing, and resin castings, and found elements, all meticulously painted by hand.

 

She began making pieces in 2018 and is thrilled to find people enjoy her work. She looks forward to honing her skills and exploring new ideas.
